Gulfstream HR has walked out 2 of their employees from Z so that they wouldn't have to walk out employees and then be walked out by their own dept. This whole thing is scummy. Any comments

I only hope that the Talent Development/management team is completely gutted...absolute snakes. They represent everything that is toxic with the current culture.
Any clue as to what time of the day it will be?
On the contrary... If you've got 44 years in, don't you do the honorable thing, and stand down for the employee who hasn't got his time in yet? I'm forever indebted to the older guys, who stood down for my benefit, when I was young, and facing layoff. That was just good work ethic.
I realize that probably nobody was given the voluntary option, and that also just s—s. But had he been given the option, I hope that he would have exercised it. 44 years is plenty of time to get your retirement in order.
Being here for 44 years doesn’t mean he should stay if his performance was subpar. If he was a good guy, with good ethics, then yeah it s—s. Happy lay-off tomorrow everyone.
Laid off upper level hr guy today that been here 44 yrs. Shameful.
It doesn't matter who they are. HR is a term that's being bantered about a lot. But layoffs should be for everyone. Not everyone "except for", and sometimes I get the impression that people think that HR is above it all. But as someone else mentioned somewhere else, the number of HR people has to be proportionate to the number of overall employees. Cut employees, cut HR staff. It's only right. And no group deserves more sympathy than others, because jobs are being lost, period. HR didn't demand the layoffs, so I don't even know why they'd be singled out for either attack or defense. It's like shooting the messenger, if you take offense with HR.
Are you implying that HR should be untouchable?
I realize that you're probably just a site troll, but it's a fun conversation, nonetheless.
I think it’s better of them to do that so they don’t lay folks off then they get laid off.
