Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

Barnes and noble still on the layoff list!!!

If you people think anything is going to change over the long haul you are sadly mistaken. Oh sure you hear about all the good things that are coming BUT the bad things are going to happen first and a lot of you will be left without a job. Stores will be closed, more positions will be eliminated, hours will be cut which means health benefits will be too. You all are fooling yourselves into a false sense of security and you will get what you deserve if you think all is going to be fine. It is not. Get out now before they kick you out. Yeah it's doom and gloom, cause there is no saving this once great company. Believe what your managers tell you? They are only telling you want your DMs want them to tell you. And past experiences says they all knew and they all lied.

“The boycott of the White House Pig book is already costing the company money !
Loss of sales = lay-offs !”
I answer over 10 calls yesterday from customers wanting to know if we had the book. When I said yes, they went off of how they’ll never shop here again. 3 wanted to talk to the SM, who hid in his office and would not talk to them. One wanted Corporate’s number.
There’s lots of other books we still carried that we didn’t push, front & center. Just put them in their section.
I don’t get paid enough to do management’s job of diffusing angry customers .

Health benefits will surely go.

A childrens lead just had a $90, 000 operation at our store. Do you think they want to pay for this anymore? Oh, she had to pay $8000, but the rest covered by insurance.
