I keep reading about IT being hit hardest. Exactly what roles are most vulnerable? Architect, Developer SMEs, SAs, Scrum Masters, Developers?
I can see the developer roles being sent to Legato but "non-coding" roles are not something you can just swap bodies.

I worked at Anthem for a year. The environment hurt my health, self confidence and I performed lower than my regular performance. A few months away and at another job I am doing great. I got a special bonus and a promotion. I am so darn happy to be at a company who values my contributions and let's me play to my strengths. I am not a cookie-cutter developer but a mediocre developer with great process and architectural skills. I am working on important products not the throw away trash i worked on at Anthem. Corporations and the idots who run them think they can turn development of products into an assembly line...like what are you making toasters? You need to understand the logic, the flow and help choose the right tools and technologies and align with the business.
I heard the JL comment on her town hall: "Not a single layoff has resulted from any of these changes!" I laughed my a** off over that one. Can she even remotely believe that a single person is buying that load of BS? Then where did everyone go and why?????
And as far as her not knowing about any of the issues that are crippling IT, she's either flat out lying or utterly incapable of performing her job. So which is it? When you get rid of 90% of the people that built the systems and replace them with newbies half a world away, gee, I wonder what will happen?
It is a sad, sad state of affairs and it appears that it will get far worse before it gets better. They've essentially decided to move full steam ahead, at an even more accelerated pace, down the path to destruction.

Hello posters, not sure any one saw the meeting held Monday morning 9 EST. Jeri Louse was going crazy. She was very p-ss-d off. She sounded surprised about the issues she was speaking of. I was surprised that she was surprised or clueless .That you are going to experience the types of issues they were referring to. Really? With all the changes, transformation, re orgs rifs contractor issues, The issues are starting. Not sure if anyone heard them say the lay offs were not caused by Legato.. hmmm.
No roles or titles are exempt. And I’m with previous poster- blessing in disguise. No more stress about whether I’ll have a job next week. Time to move on to a company that respects and values my contributions.
Just remember, when you hear them talk about the current "interim model" changing to the "end state model", that is your job. It is the "end state" of your employment at Anthem. And it is scheduled to be in place for March, 2020.
Just guessing here, but look for some stability to get through "peak period", ending in December, followed by some announcements in January for February "last employment" dates. So they won't have to pay out any annual AIP/QIP bonuses or raises in March to those affected.

Another IT Town Hall meeting coming up with Gloria. Wonder what kind of BS they will be presenting this time. Honestly, I don’t think nobody cares anymore about this IT Town Hall meetings. Just another opportunity to sit around and waste an hour of Anthem’s time doing nothing.
As off-shore resources go, Legato resources hired are lower tier , high turn-over, poor work ethic (always sick, OOO). Pay is low compared to consulting companies who have the best. (the same consulting companies kicked out earlier this year for cost reduction $$)
You get what you pay for is appropriate here - others in this forum speculate about bad karma - yep, full effect very soon. You already see it in the stock price, and in the townhalls where you listen to "leadership" who are on ketamine, and koolaid likened to Marshal Applewhite's Heavens Gate cult. They'll be catching the next comet...soon

Agreed. Can't look at it by roles. Follow the money. If you have work but can't get an APMID - consider yourself on the list. Expectation is 20% reduction in IT by EOY.
Sadly, I have seen every title in your list there get RIF'd this year, myself included. Was a blessing in disguise, I know it is hard to swallow, but it is so much better not there! Good luck!
