After all we have been through this year with SRD and "whatever is going on" lately I hope we get some decent bonuses.

All this talk of increased health care costs has now got me wondering about a bonus. Top it off the launch for the Explorer sounds like it has been costly for production numbers.
It's a shame we worked hard on that vehicle.
Bonuses are a motivator especially when merits hover around 2.5%. It gives people that signal their efforts made a difference all year long.
I just wish they could adjust the bonuses to motivate slackers. Doesn't seem fair they get the same raises and bonuses after just riding the wave each and every year.
With all the new garbage Ford Motor is making, you are lucky to still have a job. That is a problem working for such a gifted family. Make sure you all contribute to Little Bills 40th party. Meet the next inline gifted family members.
Agreed, without the bonuses you are just falling behind and inflation is consuming your purchase power.
Ford's base salaries aren't particularly competitive. Neither are their benefits. Bonuses are one way to close that gap. It's still a pretty good market for technical folks out there. If there's no bonus paid out, it's effectively a salary cut.
Got my bonus in March I believe. Don't think they were SRDing until May at least in my area.
I presume it refers to this quarterly call (which anyone can dial in by the way!):

What is October 23rd?
October 23rd will be interesting.
Last year I was giving my bonus and then walking papers 30 secs later.......
Last year I was very uncomfortable telling direct reports about their bonuses while also getting questions about SRD. We shouldn’t be giving bonuses while also eliminating jobs to cut costs. Keep people and cut bonuses. The bonuses are “gravy” but people’s jobs are their “bread and butter”.
My guess is if they are asking about a bonus in this climate, they are part of the problem and most likely will participate in the next rounds of firings.
How would you feel about another 10% reduction in workforce and then 110% bonus for yourself?
I wouldn't worry about a bonus - I'd be more worried about continued employment at this point.
Hard to tell. There are complaints about recalls, quality, launch issues and lower sales. All of those concerns can be used as justification for lower bonuses. It would be deserved news if the bonuses are good but I won’t be surprised if they’re not.
