They are competing to recruit the best and brightest with places like New York, Boston, and Silicon Valley. The companies based in all of those places offer excellent benefits and compensation, modern and inclusive company culture, and a very good work-life balance. Nothing in Nebraska (especially UP) is ever going to compete with that. At best, the people who they capture will be second/third tier, and they'll leave as soon as they have a better offer in a better location.
UP has nothing to offer any prospective employee except stress, misery, and conflict. Keep it.
Fun fact: when you Google Blueprint Nebraska, you'll get a warning telling you that their site has been compromised by malware. Fun times.
