GAC canceled the layoffs ?

Gulfstream hasn't filed any 2019/2020 DOL paperwork with Georgia yet. 2015 layoff paperwork is dated 12/15 with 349 affected in Savannah (coastal GA) and if I remember right it was a Wednesday or Thursday (12/16 or 12/17) they were let go. There are exemptions in the WARN act about "completion of a particular project" and "part time / worked less than 6 months in the past 12 months" regarding the 500 threshold for notice, so I'm sure the bean counters won't let it hit 500 without having some exclusions on their pocket. Basically don't expect a 60 day notice.
Regardless of the 500 number, though, Gulfstream will have to notify DOL of a "mass separation" of 25 or more directs being let go on the same day.

For the warn act they have to notify you PERSONALLY that YOU will not have a job in 60 days, not a group. Most companies just pay you for 60 days in lieu of you coming to work p-ss-d off for the next 2 months. Remembering this only applies to layoffs of over 500 people in the next 90 days.
And Longbeach we were told mid October.
Read the WARN Act. Federal law is 60 days notice for mass (over 500) layoff
Best guess is Oct 17th. That is 30 days after we were notified. It is a law in some states to give 30 days notice of a mass layoff.
this is ridiculous - just get it over w/ already.
They did say mid to late October. People are just thinking it might be sooner and rumors are spreading.
