Haven’t you seen the GD executives flying in?
Why is there so much whining? If you own stock you have noticed the sharp drop. If you are aware of your surroundings you have noticed there are no engines. If you are paying close attention the sales of the A/C have dropped off. It seems that the people who are the most scared are the ones with the only work history saying Gulfstream on there resumes. Honestly everyone sounds like the GM workers or Coal miners who thought that this job will last forever. It’s rather pathetic to think it’s the end of the world and this is your only option. When it happens to us, I hope we all wake up the next day and start pounding the aviation pavement. Show them what we are made of. Hard working- Americans who have the drive and ambition to do the job. Whatever that job is! Remember there loss is another’s gain. Best of luck to my co workers and people I call family. And remember if you survive this time- you now know what kind of company you really work for.

You are all reacting to a post from an individual who does not know the difference between "there" and "their". Let that sink in.
The down fall of a great company.. This was the cause of bad management and the good old boy way of life. Yes a lot of GD people have been in town the last week or so.. I'd like to know what the deal is with that but we need to walk out and show leadership we want answers. We have stock in GD.. Why can't we do this
See Gulfstream? More than not see it and get it. Terrible business model... Shameful, in fact. Running off the good, but reward the infected.
What the previous poster said about the suppliers is spot on. The OEM’s laugh at you the the BTP suppliers have more sophisticated sub-tier suppliers than you, but keep up the sure-handed method of intimidation. You wonder why you are little brother in the aviation supply chain.
i understand..... net pR0FiTs fell a few billion $s. So stock didnt BooM as strong as predicted. but everybody near the top still get to fly their jets, still get to invite good ole boys down to the country clubs. Yes, I understand this how capitalism works, but we have developed an unsustainable business model for; the Company, the Name, that we have ALWAYS been proud of.
The stupidity curve reached the inflection point. A point of no-return. An irreversible condition. A terminal ilness. A cancer. I've been applying to other jobs since the announcement on 9/12. If I stay, I will continue my job search. I will get out of this sheathole and go back to real engineering. Not even the suppliers respect this company. Supplier know how incompetent this company is because they work with Bomabardier, Embraer, Boeing, Airbus, etc... so the comparison is like day and night. Only blind operators still buy these planes. I don't give another 3 year and this company will be bagging for new sales and it will be the end. Get out as soon as possible and live long and prosper.
It's not necessarily that it's happening but how we got here. Management has become atrocious and too top heavy. Their actions are motivated by brainwashing and bonus program objective. Not to mention it is their poor decisions that are causing honest hardworking people to lose their jobs right before a recession.
Add to that the useless HR machine that is s—ing down resources and you end up with the grievances you are seeing on here.
From 2015 until now, Gulfstream has became a shell of what it used to represent.
Well put. The vast majority so concerned, worried, afraid or even devastated by the thought of losing their job at GAC have never been anywhere else outside of the surrounding counties or worked for anyone better than Goofstream. I feel the most sorry for these folks that may just not know any better. Hopefully these individuals will find a way to either make do locally with an appropriate wage or realize there is quite a vast world outside of the greater Pooler area. Godspeed those affected.
