Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

Management and HR trolls.

If you haven't noticed, there are many management and HR trolls on this site attempting to disrupt our conversations. Don't be fooled by their attempts to spread misinformation and outright lies. They think that you are stupid and will believe any nonsense they write.

You have the right to form a union that stands up for you. Federal law protects you from company intimidation and retaliation if you choose to demand a union contract. That union contract will spell out your the legal rights with respect to your employment with Gulfstream. I assure you that they don't want you to have legally binding conditions of employment because that will take away their ability to take from you for their prosperity.

We were already told at the last All hands by the President that there wouldn't be a RIF or a VSP this year. So all what's happening makes him out to be a liar? This had to have already been in planning when he made that statement after being asked by an employee in Savannah "point blank".

Q4 all hands will be the same. The management will dodge all serious questions. No employee will put themselves out on a limb and asked the hard questions. This management rules by fear and threatens ones with their employment if they get out of line.

Out of control management and HR will destroy the company as well. Gulfstream has chosen to create a two class structure. You have the elites and you have the peons. I think it's delusional to think that things are going to change at this point without the employees standing up for themselves.

Unions can be helpful but unions can also k–l a company. Here in Long Beach we don’t even mumble that word. The petty management out here will get rid of you. I’ve been with a few companies in aviation. This is the first company that has managers that know nothing about aircraft management or maintenance but run the builds. We will k–l someone out here because of the fast as possible maintenance we are forced to deal with. We have to cut corners on everything we do to make schedule. Hell, we cut corners so bad the paper is round now.

Agree. Just look how beneficial SPEEA helps engineers at Boeing.

From what i understand your trading one good old boy system for another.
Whats the point, Under a union they can still RIF personal if it is needed.
