The fact that so many of the new agents end up in bankruptcy would seem to indicate that there are no training wheels on the current agency situation. You may want to try to educate yourself before you stick your neck out and look all kinds of stupid commenting on something you know very very little about.

SL salary is $125k. Average SL variable per year is $90k. VPA total comp around $400k. They are nothing more than Kool aid servers and recruiters for more Kool aid drinkers. The AA05 is a horribly risky endeavor.

Truth- what you’re missing is that agents have a vested interest in keeping their clients happy perpetually, as they are paid commission each time that policy renews forever. In addition to just simply servicing our policyholders, we are also tasked with putting out fires from claims, underwriting, the SFPP department, so in actuality why you think we’re sitting on her hands, we’re doing not only our job but a lot of your job also. If you wanna see something truly awesome, watch us race out of the top five in insurance carriers and maybe lower than that if you do Away with the agents. Do you want to talk about downsizing? You guys really are clueless, The only glue keeping half of these freaking people with this company is the agents whether you wanna believe that or not, Do you think these people are hanging around because of the awesome service they’re getting from the hubs?

agents are great at selling, horrible at servicing. doesn’t take a genius to figure that out. compare production #s to lapse/can #s and there’s your answer. no different than a used car salesman. once they collect their commission, they disappear until the next time they think they can make another sale. these agents claiming they’ve earned the right to sit back, be lazy and watch the $ roll in, you’re only doing half your job. you sold your customers a promise. you broke that promise.

I don’t really consider myself overpaid, I am simply reaping the benefits of having worked 60-70 hours a week for many years to build my book of business and now am enjoying the fruits of my considerable labor and previous sacrifices.

Your kidding right? Agency is the only thing keeping this enterprise alive right now. But, if/when our time comes, (always a possibility) rest assured most agents have been smart enough to survive nicely. For the record, I believe the company knows better than to FK with us right now, they do not have a viable plan B.

Over $200K? You’ve GOT to be kidding me! That’s INSANE! Oh well, I guess it won’t be an issue much longer since Agency is up next. You’re clearly overpaid so unfortunately that means you’re next on the chopping block. I hope you haven’t been too frivolous with your spending and have managed to save some.

You should have stayed in agency, A97 agent here, work approx 10 hours per week (if I feel like it) and net $230k. I do have a very good team.

When you get your A05 agency, remember to spend six figures on internet ad placement, billboard ads internet leads etc. you might as well max out everything before your bankruptcy.

Right on brother, someone has to send out the 20 emails per day and coordinate the 3 or 4 conference call per week. Do you feel the target on you back? Don’t worry, you will be offered an agency somewhere, although it will be on the A05 contract. Then you will get to actually practice some of the c-ap you preach and see how it works in actuality. Rock on.

I have been a sales leader for about 2 years now. I don't think it is appropriate to say how much I actually make but it is over 200,000...and I earn every penny. I am a valuable asset to the farm.
