Why on earth would they do that - the rapidly declining SH business or the dog's breakfast of acquired "me too!" software point products?

the restructure was already in motion in Q2... PM was just there to take the fall for it. The next round of layoffs will be laid at the feet of AE as the new CEO comes in. The next guy's job will be to position the parts or the whole for sale as soon as possible

I don’t understand how any credit was given to PM around restructuring Riverbed when they hired an outside company to do it. PM and AE were the wrong choices to begin with.
