As soon as other carriers get their 5G networks up and running all the ILEC customers will leave too......then there will be nothing left to do but close the doors. Creditors will own the company in early 2020 and doors will be closing by 4th qtr 2021. I cant believe anyone still works there and isnt looking for another job.

TT and his millionaire friends don't 'know jack about how this business actually works' either.....LOL

"That's the funniest thing I've read all day. CLEC is carrying so much ILEC traffic that there's no way to get rid of CLEC. And AT&T doesn't issue colo ID's to other ILEC carriers, so again the CLEC is required. "

And even with all the intracompany transfers because of that traffic the CLEC side of the business is still managing to lose 100's of millions of dollars every year.

These two statement only let the rest of us know that you don't know jack about how this business actually works.

ILEC is considered a utility and operates under certain
state and federal laws that the CLEC business does not
abide by. You cannot just close the doors on a utility
the government will step in if that is the case (see frontier).

BOTH CLEC and ILEC rely on each other because of UNITI right now.
IF/When they split up UNITI both business units will operate independently.
I strongly suspect that this is case based on previous recommendations from the
consultants A&M.

LOL. That's the funniest thing I've read all day. CLEC is carrying so much ILEC traffic that there's no way to get rid of CLEC. And AT&T doesn't issue colo ID's to other ILEC carriers, so again the CLEC is required. Cooking the books to avoid paying the tariffs means that the union can't exist without CLEC at this point.

Now, if you wanted to unionize the CLEC side, I think there's good opportunity for that.

For those on the CLEC side of the business. If I were you I would be looking for a job period. On the ILEC it is more of a decision to make.

For those who live in towns that dont have job opportunities in the north and midwest, I feel bad for you.

For those who live in the south and are too lazy to find another job bc you dont do squat to contribute to the company anyway, I hope the news that you're fired catches you slipping. Because you either drank the koolaid or you have no skills and never deserved the job that you slurped your way into.

probably a joke but if serious can the poster that stated "Keep working hard and everything will be great." expand on this info? How so - tell us how things will be great for the employees that endure stagnant pay and ever increasing workloads - ALL Windstream employees are interested on he details.

Seems working for Arkansas based companies s—s for the majority of their employees; Walmart, Tyson,JB Hunt and Windstream to name a few. Must be something in the water

If any of you guys believe everything is going to be ok then that’s on you. Tt are only going to tell you the good things because that’s their job. If they told you the truth, you all would quit and he wouldn’t get a bonus.

Execs are bleeding the company dry. They are pulling in MILLIONS in bonuses this year as the creditors will be taking over. Then the real layoffs start.

We are STILL bleeding to death from a 1000 cuts

Revenue for the month was $430
$410M in the bank
We wrote down amortization and deprecation of $88M and another $61M in goodwill.
Somehow we show a Net loss of $44M?
Total liabilities grew to $12B

Reorg costs (losses) jumped from $10M to $14M this month.

  1. 9M paid to the execs that sank the boat

Grab the life boats and the paddles, this is going to be a rough landing!
