I surely hope they keep in mind that women are the minority. A diversified workplace is important.

I graduated from an SEC university with an engineering degree. There was exactly 1 female in my graduating class of 200 or so. If anything women are over represented. We have a few in my department that are diversity hires. I have no idea what they do other than fill a diversity quota. They will be safe from RIF because of the id–tic notion that “diversity is important” over actually being able to do your job.
Put up a poster board in the hallway! Gather irrelevant comments!
I am a Male employee and have a bunch of daughters. So, I pay close attention to oportunities women are offered. Someone should look at the rate of hired women vs job applications.
I feel confident that they feel diversity is one of their top efforts.

I understand given the certain situation. But I know they will stay strong to fairly keep those that represent the diverse workplace.
