Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Is this considered a news site or an online board for feedback.

Do we consider layoff.com an actual news site like fox, cnn, abc, wall street journal or an online platform for information on sears.. are the people posting lists of store closings the caliber of Walter cronkite, dan rather, and 60 minutes or are we more like the web were speculation and thoughts can be posted and then we can research on our own.

Thumbs up information no links

Thumbs down links need to be provided.

The problem we all face is Sears/transformco provides little we can link so it's hard to be a new site with actual sources.

Thanks again

@4Efty+11fLVuiM LOL, you're replying to someone from September (Check Date of OP). Almost 1 Year ago, so I doubt he will see your reply. Moreover, regardless of that wordy description, this is still a news site to share retail news. Sort of a gathering depot for retail related links, all in 1 place.

The answer to your question can be found on the Layoff.com homepage....copy and pasted below for your convenience...

If you’re a sears or Kmart store this site is a funeral home

This is not a journalistic site. It is, however, a site with information that is useful to journalists.

It’s an online board to speculate, spread rumors and rehash the same subject(s) over and over again.

Eddie hides everything. The Sales Managers are on gag orders except to local media. Everyone else on up is gagged as well. Even on his yacht, there are security checks, non-disclosure agreements, and you're not allowed to bring cameras and recording devices. But of course there are leaks. You can see photos of Eddie's shennanigans with the rich and famous on public servers if you know where to look, as well as accounts. Eddie is living it up with the billionnaire's life have no doubt while the plebes suffer, and he's doing it with a smile.

Neither. This is the place where Fox, CNN, ABC and all other journalist get their news material from.
Seen it at least a dozen of times, if you paid attention, you would have seen it too.
One of us post a relevant info here, then a journalist leaves a contact info asking for someone to come forward, and next thing - you read it in the news.

@Bob The 2 are not mutually exclusive. This can be a news site AND an online platform to discuss provable FACTS about Sears.
There are sources to every store closing. Pick any one. Wayne NJ? Here u go:
https://www.northjersey.com/story/news/business/2019/08/30/kmart-closing-four-nj-locations-wayne-trenton-wall-somers-point/2166673001/

Kalispell MT? There: https://www.dailyinterlake.com/local_news/20190831/kmart_closing_evergreen_store_by_mid-december

Pick any other one. I can find you a link for it.
This way, by providing links, everyone can have the facts to work with, instead of misleading information. Wouldn't want someone to go get ready to file for Unemployment or something, thinking they are about to get canned, only to find out the rumor was incorrect. Once it's provable by a link, then I go ahead and post about it....
