Auto makers world wide will need transition to EV and eventually, autonomous vehicle over the next 5-15 years to stay in business. Countries all over the world are requiring this transition, making it a fact in my view. These vehicle are much less labor intensive to build and the UAW will have to find ways in this new manufacturing paradigm to stay relevant. What comes out of these negotiations will become the building blocks for this new manufacturing environment. If GM settles without concessions from the UAW it will be the end of the long term viability of the company. At that point both sides lose.

I was hoping for the UAW to stay on stoke for the next 3 months so that they know how it feels to get $250 e week paycheck. See if these union workers can survive.

GM as a company will be fine.
