KC leaves Pearson in shambles...he was never interested in the business and definitely not the people! How does Pearson rebuild after his legacy of destruction! Sad.
Agree with “draining the swamp.”
ANY leader — VP, DM, etc that followed orders from KC should be out. Like a war criminal, just following orders isn’t an excuse.
Moving the sales job from sales to data entry is the SOLE, SINGULAR reason for our downturn. Any “leader” that isn’t smart enough to see that doesn’t qualify as a leader and should be gone. PERIOD.
Just caught a clip of Fallon. Horrible public speaker. And I’m not even talking about what he says. Re TB, he was always VERY friendly with new young reps....
So TB is now in charge? The guy who milked our print sales and did very little to invest in new technology and our internal systems. He comes across as very arrogant.
I heard from veterans he was“friendly” back in the day with very young reps! These days he would be in jail for that stuff!
How the hell is Fallon still around?
What's left in his wake...lousy sales force automation system that STILL doesn't work, his SAP cronies who were hired for who knows what, exacerbation of a terrible culture (was that you alone at the hotel bar during last years NSM sales rep awards? Why is, it was.), and a bunch of big words and empty promises. Cool hot wing segment though. Yikes.
Wow. That’s the Sh*t
3 years of chaos, lay-off, and sinking sales and no new products in the market. Not entirely his fault because Pearson is a disaster after years of mismanagement Let’s pretend to put the customer in the middle and fantasize that we’re in the position to actually sell services in the higher ed market. Glad he is finally gone!
Now let me get back to my customer service and data entry job and not sell anything while RB talks more c-ap about how we need to let reps focus on sales. All talk and no action. Pearson needs to focus on making all of their marketing and internal messages a realty. All talk no action.
KEEP GOING!! More Sr Leaders should be gone. Drain the swamp!!
The one guy who came into the publishing industry with little knowledge and left with less. Kudos to you, KC. That is impressive.
Be brave.
Quote from Bloomberg.com: “Fallon recognizes there have been missteps in the firm’s biggest market.” — Pearson will never get this right because students and faculty will thrive without their products. As one of the 16,000 who was cut and now working for a real tech company, I have to admit I’m satisfied by this news. Also thankful I was cut while the job market was good. With a potential upcoming recession, I fear for those still with Pearson when they add to that 16K number.
Per a contact on the inside, TB in the US takes over the traditional NA HED biz (the unit blamed for this morning's price dive), RB in the UK takes over the global HED online and and virtual schools units. This is in addition to their existing jobs, and is being sold as a "simplification" move.
Just read an article saying his responsibilities will be assumed by TWO existing Pearson executives. Does anyone know who?
