Anyone out there have any recommendations for competitors with humane working conditions, better benefits and a decent salary? And a job description that doesn't change monthly? Thank you

All you have to do is browse the competitors’ pages on this very same site. The same stuff is happening everywhere.
There is a myth being perpetuated on this forum that the problems at State Farm are endemic to the Insurance Industry in general. They are not. While our biggest competitors are growing and hiring, we are laying people off. Our problems are not caused by the industry. They are caused by decades of inept executive leadership.
If State Farm is so great, why did one of our big time consultants leave the company, take a loss on his home and go to work for USAA when he hates with a passion the military. Humm! I say Amica.
I left to work for “the lizard”. So impressed with their professionalism and honesty. Training is 100% better and not spent with a babysitter doing modules. The goal is to beat SF.....looks like it will happen soon! Love working there!
Insurance is a total rip off these days. All this company cares about is numbers that mean nothing and the customer and the employees get screwed. This nonsense will come to an end when the stock market drops.
As an agent, I deal with my counterparts from competitors all the time. Honestly, they all have the same complaints. This is a whole industry thing. Probably a whole economy thing.
I agree. It seems that all of the abuse and challenges leaves an over it attitude unfortunately. We gave it our all and after leaving just have nothing else to give to the industry, I recently let my licensing expire also. No turning back.
After putting up with the abuse of the reorg and new model, I'm feeling like the whole insurance industry is not for me any more. I've spent my entire professional career in insurance, but the company just makes me sick now. I'm triggered every time I see an agency or one of the commercials plays on TV. Yeah, it's seriously that bad. I need to walk away for something that is NOTHING like it's been here, which probably means getting out of insurance altogether. Good luck!
