Your question assumes mutal exclusivity, yet I thought DXC had already diversified its products, skills technology and partners across the all its sectors with platform modernization, automation, microservices, big-data and the take-up of new skills (albeit inexperienced). It had failed to gain market traction and has failed to address the people issue having ripped out its own heart out, thrown it on the floor and then handed control over to someone else, whilst the market has not lost interest and left it for dead.
Are you perhaps confusing diversification of investment risk with corporate strategic diversification? I don't really understand your question and for that reason I am out.
