Thread regarding UPS layoffs

Someone high up at UPS decided that no one should have use of an AMEX card, to cut costs and force profit numbers, apparently. Consequently, salespeople required to rent a car to cover their territory are standing at rental counters being told their cards are refused, standing at gas pumps to fill their rentals – same deal. People sent by Corporate to Corporate schools can't pay their hotel bills, check out, or return their rentals, because, guess what? No AMEX! No warning, just cut off. It's a no brainer, and whoever is at the top is a perfect fit for that title. We can't run a business with no funds, and we are embarrassing ourselves out there in the business world. This is happening in every District, with pushback from Regions, saying "it's no big deal". It is! Who's in charge in Atlanta? People who don't think through to the end result.
