Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Rph union - work conditions

there is a major movement nationwide for a pharmacist union being enforced. The work conditions are not possible. Patients health is at danger. No Time for bathroom breaks No time to eat, constant budget cuts make work conditions impossible. This has to be stopped and it will be. Either the company goes under or your health goes under, choose 1. While all the corporate heads sit at their desks and set impossible expectations, we struggle to survive every day in the retail work without help. Unsustainable, improper expectations, will produce poor results. Unionize and protect your license and the professional you work so hard to become.

We could just whistle blow the lack of a firewall between Caremark and soon to be Aetna and see how that pans out for the fart boxes at the top.

@11Zq6sLS-1pvm Are any of you DLs honest with RD or do you just tell them want they want to hear. I know everyone has to look out for their job but it has to stop somewhere. Corporate needs to have a realistic idea of what is happening in the stores. Morale is so low everybody hates coming to work. No coverage for call outs or vacations.

@11Zq6sLS-1xdk... I agree with your point, and a good number of DL’s only care about what corporate wants and don’t give a darn about you. HOWEVER, there are a handful of really good DL’s, who understand and feel for you, and the company needs more of them as opposed to unreasonable corporate DLs. Store employees are humans NOT mindless robots!

Oh dls you are part of the problem. How about stick out to your store managers instead of berating them for going over 3 measley hours. I’m tired of getting yelled at and I’m working hard. Get more done in 45 then most managers do but then you guys come into the store and not pick. Can’t do everything in 45 hours yet I try my best. And I refuse to work any more then that!

From many of us DLs! CVS might not encourage unions but most DLs do. We see lines of people in both the front store and pharmacy. We hear your complaints about bathroom and lunch breaks. We know that the truck has been sitting in the pharmacy for days and in the back for probably weeks.

There needs to be push back from the stores past the DLs, RDs, and maybe even DVPs. It needs to start with Ryan Rumbarger’s team. Your projects don’t save the hours and money you say they do! Be honest with the numbers and test them in the real world. The mySchedule team needs to be dissolved and restarted. Their BS answers and smoke and mirrors need to be publically called out...

The OP is trying very hard to sound educated. However their many grammar mistakes betray them.

Honestly, it is a long time coming. And if you think pharmacist count pills, then you don't know what pharmacist do.

Getting paid $53/hr to count pills is slavery?

The OP is right! Working conditions at CVS are like slavery and a third world country!
