Put your resume together. Just get a paycheck and move on as soon as possible. You probably aren't going to get lucky and get laid off.

No, that is not why people stay. People stay because they fear change, or have no other options. They spend half their time reading financial reports they don’t understand in hopes of seeing something, anything positive so they can keep their anxiety in check for another few months. I guess it’s better than Xanax.

and you are the source of it with that attitude. The whole reason why people stay and complain is because they want to see the situation improve. Complaining can indicate a need for change just as much as a bad attitude. It is this narrow-mindedness that has caused windstream's downfall.
WS punishes those who want to get laid off by keeping them on. Why else would I still be here? Hate this place too. The whole batch of VPs are a box of sharts. Can’t wait for the new VP from failed telecom GCC.
I’m honestly surprised WS has tried to buy that pile of steamy underwear mess. Because TT believes you can rub two t–ds together and magic will happen.
Last RIF hit many veterans. Had a co-worker who was a veteran and had been with the company for 15yrs. The man was the ideal employee and was cast aside. Shameful place to work. Have quite a few people still working at windstream who work from home but dont reply to emails or answer their phone. They literally sit at home and do nothing and collect a free check. While some of us have ETA to deal with......we may not talk about how to make the network better but do talk about ETA daily haha. And make sure your location is on so your manager can see where you are 24X7

Management has created such a toxic atmosphere. Just look at the first few comments, its a disgraceful place to work. You deserve better and there are quality places of employment out there. Windstream is an absolutely horrible place to work. No raises, no bonuses, no job security, worst health benefits in the industry......
This place is a joke. No one gives a sh– anymore.
People used to be happy to be at work and now everybody is just waiting on the day they are told their time is over.
The morale is running low... cannot expect great things when they treat the employees like garbage.
Sounds like some Windstream managers responded to you quick. Ignore them, they're all narcissists.
Just keep collecting that paycheck while you can. Get some help. This is a sh–ty company and you deserve more. Leave the sh–holes behind.
Then you should leave. At this point WS has enough negativity. Take yours and get out.
