I was laid off 1.5 years ago
My current job is 40% more than Seagate
But my happiness here is also 40% less
Now one manager want me back coz one of his team is retiring.
Should I go back?
Should I ask for 20% more than what I was paid in Seagate?
Do you see any future in this company?
If I were you, I wouldn't make the decision based on this board. Too many negatives.
Go with your gut.. Just remember - every company has its own skeleton in their closets. Thus the grass is not always greener on the other side.

I love Seagate, they have issues like any other company, but I'm very happy...so much negativity on this site...geez
Many of the respondents don’t want anyone to come back for their own self interest, so take their “advice” with a grain of salt.
However, remember the old adage “you never cross the same river twice.”
Your happiness will not increase at Seagate. Employee morale is abysmal at Seagate today. My advice is to look elsewhere. There has to be better places to work.

if you're not happy w/ your current company, it's better to find another company.
as an hiring manager, if i saw someone jump back and forth to the same company, it would raise concerns. why? it also suggests you don't challenge/grow yourself. so unless you plan to stay (and not get laid off again), you're digging a hole for getting the next job.
No way. Don’t go back. Horrible place to work these days. The company is dying a slow death. People are trying to leave, not come in.
