Was cut in the STL layoff. They kept many, unqualified people in my area that were underperformers. Guessing it was my age, I was one of the older ones there. More work, more hours, lots of workers left my area, adds up to a hostile environment. Getting lots of emails for Centene openings? This place is crazy! Go ahead, keep buying companies and getting rid of people. The Senior management will keep getting richer while the worker bees work their life away. Keep the resume updated, you never know when it will happen to you.

Was in the layoff, only to be bombarded by many 'Centene openings'????
They are losing a lot of experience and don't seem to care. I'm sure the execs will do well though....

Be careful on the job sites like Indeed, Monster, and even LinkedIn. Lately a lot of different kind of scams have been hitting those sites, and I've had several friends targeted. Remember if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

Do not let that get your hopes down, though. We have lots of large businesses in the area. Apply directly on their websites when possible instead of through a third-party app.
