So many disenchanted older workers who have suffered thru the decline. Assume many would leap at chance to get out.

Started at Hewlett-Packard in the U.S., spun off to HP Enterprise, then spun off to DXC, then laid off while supporting one of the few profitable accounts remaining. 26 years earned a whopping 8 weeks severance package. An early retirement package offer would have been welcome, but it also would have benefited hard working, dedicated employees, so no way in hell they'd offer it. Good riddance. From its inception, DXC stands for Doesn't Care (X is a multiplier), Jump at the first opportunity to get the hell out on your own terms because DXC's terms stink.
A US early retirement would make sense if your name is Mikey. Just go and leave us alone!
It's not looking good for DXC in Australia. A major project has just gone bad in a big way.
This is what happens when your layoff experienced staff and replace them with sycophants.

Yes, and it´s also a Corporate need. With all the merges, adquisitións,..., layoffs, the workforce is completely disaligned. It´s common sense to renew from the bottom, and to make room for that, the ones that have been supporting this for so long should be stepping out. But no expectation for common sense and medium/long term view from the Board. Only if this really gets nasty they could be forced.
Why would DXC pay anytype of retirement plan, when they can just let you go (Work-force-reduction). At least in the USA there is no reason to do anything with "retirement"
