Why are they taking the chance pushing the layoff date out 2 weeks to 30 days after you are notified. With the hopes that people will find work elsewhere and jump ship so they do not have to pay severance? After receiving notice, employees are going to put far less into their work, if they care about the quality of their work at all!

8 NP’s on the Houston Housecalls team were laid off today.
I think it depends on the state laws and how many are laid off in one location. Over a certain number of people and you have to give them a certain amount of days notice
