Just wondering if anyone had any idea of what Jan 1 might look like?
We know that Aternity, will be treated as a new TB Start Up. Does the final separation allow for the solution to be sold via "with" all other TB holdings. Sounds like SI growth is also possible.
TB will Fire sale RVBD, as Network focused org and represent the value of investment with VerNet and sell to major network services organization.
The only logical thing for TB, sell the hardware heavy org as a package deal with VerNet.
Net gain for employees 9% on founders (which they are owed and is a liability today), and cents, like .35 to .45 on class Bs. Valuation is not there at this point and TB is ready to cut bait.

Some of us are waiting to go join PM. He is going to form a nice team over there. Pstg has lot of money to be made.
Is the COO role the new role for talentless execs? Do most companies need a COO?
PSTG stocks down a few percent since Monday. What announcement besides PM as COO has been made? Good luck selling SteelStore, uh I mean PureStorage!
The split is a business play to try and show that Aternity is growing and profitable. It was buried in the Riverbed financials. There is not benefit to the split to our customers. Our end-to-end story is fractured and now we're competing for dollars from within as well as with our competitors.
Execs are in mouth watering mode :-) we have found the next victim company to leach yummy
He’s going where many riverbed originals are so people-wise he’s in good hands but not sure about the other way around.
"Pm joins pstg"
Are they insane? This looks a lot like the triumph of hope over experience. Did they bring him on just to k–l their future?
In any case - bet heavily on the short here.
Pm joins pstg. Good pkg in a public company. We were holding him back.
How does the split help customers? More teams to deal with, less capabilities in product suites. Sure appears to be a move to boost the value for private equity short term. No?
The sentiment of OP seems off. TB brought in their top people to steer this ship right. Give the new man a couple of quarters.
Riverbed isn’t going anywhere. Aternity can split off but when that’ll be is unknown.
Focus should be, as always, getting rid of ineffective people in upper management. Question is, can our new leader sniff through the BS.
Why did they just hire a new CEO if they're planning to "Fire sale RVBD"? It would have been cheaper to just leave his "illustrious" predecessor in place.
