Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Which departments could potentially merge?

I believe, with this amount of layoffs, and the amount of work that is left for those who do stay, that there is a larger organizational restructure in store, possibly before the end of the year ( I imagine they will want to get this over with before 2020, so they can go in the new year with a new organizational structure). In that sense, what departments have the most potential to merge with each other, and what departments could disappear totally?

Any news about layoffs at Optum clinical sites which were bought out this year? They are moving HIM departments out of these sites in Massachusetts.

I’m concerned about clinical and Optum. There are duplicative roles and responsibilities.

I have no inside info, but there is a thread on this site about Clinical Services moving to Optum, and it makes sense based on some of the rhetoric and process changes I've been seeing in the program I work for.
