Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Santelli Reorg Announcement

Wow!! Massive changes in Santelli's organization. Precursor to what is going to happen on 11/6? Sure, leave it up to the new managers and leaders to make any layoffs official.

What do others think?

I did send an email to Amy Klobuchar. I got a generic email back stating they will keep my issue in mind when going over legislation. It was clearly a generic email with no specifics and something that could be sent out to all who emailed her.

Why aren't people calling their representatives, ie. Amy Klobuchar, and posting her response here? After all, wasn't Amy hired to represent the state of Minnesota citizens? Can someone ask her how many H1B1's she signed up for?

It's been mentioned among many threads and it is all true. Most or all departments are impacted. Re-orgs from top to bottom. Employees walked out on Nov 6. More jobs being pushed to India and Phillipines.

What is really going on? When will these layoffs begin and who should anticipate to be affected? What departments? Is it not odd to anyone else that there are jobs being posted everyday but almost all of them are for Optum Global?

became aware of this site through a colleague, as I am anticipating being let go. I came to realization that this company is hemorrhaging , threatened on many fronts, and has enormous technology debt. This debt problem is being addressed by leaders with limited healthcare expertise. There is a fair amount of chasing and positioning by these leaders, all the while external companies are grabbing our share. I have been fortunate with the opportunities, development and experience ; however, I believe the better days are behind them. The market is starving for talent, and there are jobs to be had. thanks for the ride, adios!

What? IRD = OT correct?

In IRD, we learned the entire dept was going to be eliminated through discovering the info buried in the mass Santelli email. What a pathetic way to treat your employees. No official word on layoffs yet, but we are all beginning to line up interviews.

Under Duhaime? Seriously? You joking that Duhaime was better? If he was better, why is he gone?

It’s absolutely amoral that an organization making this much money would lay so many people off. This is not leadership.
