Too late to sell your stock.....?

TL;DR

Ford Q3 profits fall 57%, guidance lowered for the year

Ford Motor Co. lowered its guidance for the year after reporting third-quarter profits fell 57% in due to charges from an ongoing restructuring and the formation of a new joint venture in India.

And the Dearborn automaker expects higher warranty charges, higher-than-planned incentives, and struggling sales in China will drag on profits through the end of the year, Ford Chief Financial Officer Tim Stone said Wednesday. Ford expects to make between $6.5 and $7 billion in 2019; that could be lower than the $7 billion in profits before taxes the automaker made in 2018.

@11FTo5Aa-1eeh is right. The reason that Fields was canned was because of the stock price. Steelcase Jimmy has driven it down even further and that means the family is losing money. When they have to switch from Dom Perignon to Pabst and their vacation spot goes from San Tropez to Toledo is when the shoe drops for the CEO.

Why would you buy/stick with Ford stock when there are so many better alternatives? Help me out here - thanks!

I am counting on Ford stock to drop below $8 per share or around $7.5. This will give the company a good reason for a new CEO and for me to buy back the stock.

I'll be a buyer when it drops below $5.

Oh no, it's that big scary news report. Fear and greed make people do funny things. So, price is going to decline some in the short term. Sitting under some heavy resistance lines on the charts.

What is more obvious are the gaps at just below $9, and the big gap just below $10. There's your longer term direction, but a temporary decline may come first.

Don't own any Ford, but I do love chart reading and applying technical analysis. Looks kind of like one big cup and handle pattern on the weekly. Looks viable longer term, unless your one of those individuals that gets scared out of their positions by the big bad news reports. Someone else on the opposite side is buying.

Buy when there's blood in the streets. Sell when everyone is saying it's going to $100000. DYODD

Down another 3% this morning. Well done Hackman.

I feel bad for anyone still holding Ford stock - dividend is nice (probably not sustainable) but your principal drops or is stagnant. Plus, you missed out on better opps in the market the last ten years.

You should have sold at least 10 years ago.
