Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

My tank is just about empty

I was (notice how I use was and not am) a very loyal long time employee of my core, I thought I would retire from here, once I was badged over that loyalty started to diminish and is now totally gone, I honestly believe the powers that be at Xerox don't give a flying f— about what happens to their company because I have seen first hand the incompetence of HCL and how it is destroying the most successful part of Xerox. HCL Guatemala have no clue what they are doing, we have them doing a percentage of our work and here are the results so far:
They are not using or following the process docs they were given
Their english is atrocious
They do not listen to any direction you give them
They do not after being told multiple times understand the concept of work having to get done in a specific period of time
They do not respond to emails in a timely manner
They are having the most difficult time doing the simplest tasks even though they brag on the weekly conference calls with the people at Xerox overseeing the transition that they are trained and ready
They are in my words a joke
I am and have been looking for another job, I hate going there everyday, I just can't believe we as successful cores have to lose our livelyhood to these mo–ns and I cannot wait to give my notice which will hopefully be soon as I had a 2nd interview today with a great company
God help you all in sales or those not badged over because you have no idea of the road to hell you are about to embark on once they have everything full time come November
Xerox you once again blew it!!!!!!!!!!!

HCL isn’t anyone to blame or focus on for what’s going on.
Some employees will retain a job but most will be laid off because HCL is also in this for a profit.
The real battle has to be fought with Xerox as they made the decisions to move forward with no severance and ending all the careers of so many people. Xerox and their new Board are in this for themselves. They do not care at all who you are or what happens to you family because they want instant profit.
If we were laid off based on a long term plan that bettered the company then there would be little or no fight to be had, BUT we were put in this situation by a very small group of power hungry “people”.
This isn’t an HCL long term issue
This is the Xerox Board that needs to pay out to all of us- issue
Get organized
HCL is not the big story

"It is all about putting more money into the shareholders pockets and getting fat bonuses at the top level and that is about it. The whole mantra that "employees are the most valuable asset" is BS and has nothing to do with reality."

This is 100% the case. My core is the 3rd company I've worked for while it's happening. Employees are just corporate property to be sold off for exec and shareholder profit, then soon after, discarded by the buyer. And the company is "blameless" in all of it.

"This will make quick money? Okay, do it."
"That will cost us? No, forget it."

There is no consideration for any benefit to the company on the whole or anyone outside of the top levels, just a toxic short-term corporate cash grab. K–l off a company and its workforce for fun and profit. It's the American way.

HCL has not clue whether it is running data centers, supporting applications, desktop support, etc., etc. The problem is not HCL and companies like it, it is the management who selects them purely based on the labor rate and not on the skills. It is all about putting more money into the shareholders pockets and getting fat bonuses at the top level and that is about it. The whole mantra that "employees are the most valuable asset" is BS and has nothing to do with reality.

Sounds very similar to my core. People are checked out and apathetic. And I don’t blame them. Leadership continues to ignore and point fingers as if the rebadged employees are the problem. Xerox is the problem, not your once dedicated and loyal employees! I am amazed at how quickly some people have turned on the very people that helped build these companies up and helped sales succeed.

There is life after Xerox. Get out now, while you can. I am so happy to have left Xerox. I can't believe how good I feel now, and so glad I no longer work at that company. They do not care about their employees, Everyone I know that has left is so much happier.

Xerox R&D has been dealing with HCL for 8 years now. I can say it will not get any better.

Relax. Don’t worry about it and don’t have a stroke. It all pays the same; always has and always will. Just kick back, put in your time, and forget the stupidity. What anyone does, anywhere else, for any reason is irrelevant. You are just a worn tooth on the giant cog of the company. You make no difference. So just relax and collect your paycheck.
