Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

Another one bites the dust

Looks like for Local I.T at SWF has left that will make it 3 from I.T that have left within the last Month. Emails have been sent out to Sr staff about how supporting all 3 locations SWF,APO Limited, DCO will be supported at a Safety concern tickets or revenue impacting only.

Which with the Techs onsite only one is working fully at DCO M-F 630 - 3pm which leaves only 4 techs available to only work the remainder of Orlando parks, and let's face it not your brightest techs that are left.

Also with that said the Call Center is having a Mandatory all employees meeting today in the likes of jobs being outsourced. We do know that some or part of the call center is already in Jamaica but will this finally seal the deal in closing out the Orlando site?

SeaWorlds new Corporate office is still not given the OK by the fire marshal, which if it does not finalize everything by the end of the month, Currently Corporate located @ John Young by Sandlake offices will have to pay out of contract fees that could lead to a whopping 1 million a month of breaching the lease.

This has nothing to do with layoffs. I have worked with most of the staff and they are fantastic. How can you say individuals that have had a successful career for over 10 years, 'not the brightest'?

On the subject of swf it team.. while I would definitely not have confidence in the newer techs they have as many of them just do not seem to know what they are doing, the three most senior techs still there do know their stuff. So if you need help.. hope that one of those three are available otherwise you probably wont get much help. Probably about as good of a chance as the helpless desk.

Will likely be moved to corporate when the building is finished.
