I will bet you a million dollars that they are going to do away with kmart and continue with just sears and all brands under it, including hometown.

The ship is sinking.

Most Kmarts are not on the good side of EBITDA. Corporate charges against stores have not decreased in the rightsizing of the ship, so to speak.

When merchandise is not available in the store for customers to buy, they go elsewhere and that REPEAT larger basket Kmart always got on consumables and impulse buys DISAPPEARS.

How on Earth can corporate expect stores to maintain sales numbers week after week when the product simply isn't there for customers?

Excluding apparel, there's probably more SKUs in a Big Lots store than the ordinary 60,000 square foot Kmart.

No it’s not looking good for sears/Kmart
I heard the next round of store closings will be in October...any truth to that?

Rebuilding the brand, increasing the morale of employees, and taking on Target, Walmart and Amazon head on. Fight like hell to survive.
