I couldn’t see any patterns when I hear about layoffs at certain locations,so does anyone have a clue about the method by which they are selecting layoff locations. Any idea what locations could be hit next?

I don't know about the method. It seems to follow an pragmatic, erratic pattern. What has been confirmed is that the entire Western Europe region is the target for mass WFRs, which should be executed by the end of the year, or, beginning of next year.
I do not know who is next, but this info was posted in an earlier thread:
