Most of the recent senior hirings haven't lasted long. He's no doubt been offered a huge amount of money but will also have a similarly huge target. The problems will start when he realises that he doesn't have the resources to deliver, but Lawrie expects results quickly.
I'd give him six to nine months.

I am assuming its a man given DXC's trend for hiring males in top poisition. They can't fire him too quickly, he will be given at least 3 quarters to turn things around. His predecessors sacking caused the share price to drop 16%. So they need to be careful given the share price.
Sales KPI's will be tough, so don't blame them for trying to flog anything for any price. They want to keep their job, They don't like talking to delivery as they have to listen to...

What 'automation?' That stuff won't work with what they have and there's no-one trained on it, we'd need to budget for that too. Well who's going to pay for that then?

No-one spoke to us first to get our estimate, those figures are ten years old - who did you talk to?
