Not sure where you dinosaurs are stuck. But many alternatives are in use and available. Multiple available Password managers. You can now use almost any mail client you want and sametime is gone the way of VPBuddy. Time to get on to slack, git and other available tools to increase your departments visibility and productivity.

@4qde You are SO right. Every internal tool I use is outdated and painful. There are better alternatives for everything. We have used Notes for at least 20 years and I have never seen any enhancement or improvement. SSO is a joke, I type my password at least 30 times a day. No one working in the company would think it's a technology company.

Hmmm...IT pain causes employees to leave...

Lotus Notes & sametime = email for the 1990's
Connections = glorified file sharing
notes databases = business critical workflow
W3 search = almost as smart as watson
FMS = commission system so complex no one knows if they've been paid right
Salesconnect = take the worst CRM and then let GBS 'fix' it
spreadsheets because those last two don't work
W3ID = SSO for single sites
and so on...

I'm not sure if the technical debt, product development debt or financial debt is worse, but I'm pretty sure that IBM's dog food has gone rancid

Oh good grief. More IBM smoke and mirrors BS. If they managed to retain top tech talent, they would be a leader in cloud and other technologies. Look at Amazon and Microsoft.

OMG. It's no wonder IBM leadership is a complete shambles. People leave IBM because "powerpoints take an age to download". Boggles the mind.
