Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Are any of us safe?

Is anybody's job really safe in today's Molina? Job security was something we could count on, but judging by how many people are posting here and from what I hear from friends at work, that is now a thing of the past.

Is there anybody here today who can say with certainty they feel safe from possible layoffs?

I think you could make the case of an identical narrartive at many firms.

Only the Board members, Joe Z and his cronies are safe. Let’s face it, every CEO brings in “friends and family.” The difference is Dr. Mario felt employees were as important as profits. Joe Z puts profits above all else. He can’t grow revenue, so he has to cut staff. It’s the only thing he knows.

The guy or gal who posted about being financially ready - excellent post my friend. You hit the nail dead on the head. You shouldn't quit unless you have another offer and give 2 weeks notice. It looks bad on you bc YOU left, you showed yourself the door. You should be putting money back for emergencies no matter what job you have. Its like the they say on the stock market world - PLAN YOUR TRADE & TRADE YOUR PLAN. Will I continue to smile amd drink the Kool-Aid? Bet ur a– I will bc staying thirsty means I have a cash flow coming in that supports me and my family. Drinking the kool aid is all part of the plan and if that plan should change then well - I already have that plan on deck.

Your not really safe anywhere anyway. So it doesn’t matter.

As for Molina, not trying to stir the pot but a lot of the original “friends and family” ARE still there. They WILL not be competitive in the current market so they have to stick it out. Worst case for them is that they can go back to their old “jobs” (i.e The Gardner, Amway, motorcycle mechanic, hotel bellman, dancer, gym trainer). You get my drift??

No, but here’s the deal. Most of us left with a single brain cell should’ve been preparing for the demise of the company. That doesn’t mean quit. I see a lot of haters saying “leave now” “you’re dumb if you’re still there.” I’m still here but I’m ready financially for the end and I will gladly take my unemployment for a minute. Honestly, I cannot wait until I get that email or call. I’m ready to be done.
