Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I'm a PD GSR8 (third year at Ford) making 120k, so not sure how accurate the listed salaries are (although my LCA filling listed my salary range as 98k - 136k).

How many years of service for the $125k salary?

Not sure how accurate these numbers are..I left Ford last year with a salary of 125k as a Product Developmemt Engineer...a bit more than the 80k salary this site lists for a PDE

Thanks to Spence Abrahams. ..he lead the the charge for this BS...letting companies post for jobs that were so ridiculously detailed in qualifications no one in the US made the cut...or anywhere in the world for that matter. ..but that allowed companies to apply for the visas and take advantage of hard working foreign individuals trying to better themselves and their families. ..way to go Spence ...US government and corporate greed...

This is always a disheartening topic - as an immigrant myself.... I hate hearing these stories.. thankfully I’m not on H1B

But ... My concern my more equal pay / equal opportunity.

The struggle is real

Those salaries are in line with non-H1B salaries for the same positions. So the story isn’t that H1B are abused but that Ford poorly pays people who choose to work at Fords.

Ford may be worse than average, but let’s face it, the US as a whole has allowed this, and all employers abuse H1Bs and their myriad variants. The general public is clueless, and unless they are in IT or call centers, they just don’t care. Most people are just worried about the next vacation or major sporting event.

Ford is paying atleast 20% less. Wow, my guess is that it's a similar story with GSR.
