Ford likes to keep schtum that whilst they are cutting positions in Michigan and Europe, they have built a massive “services” center in India which has over 6000 employees and is planning the same for Mexico and Hungary. That’s where all the staff jobs are heading. Be careful of training your replacements...

SRD was just a way to get rid of people with pensions. Sprinkle in a couple who did not have pensions that they wanted to get rid of out of the good old boy network and there you go. All the jobs that were "eliminated" are now being hired in with new entry level people who do not get pensions. The ones who survived this round should know by now that they are next when they start the next round of cuts sometime early next year.
SRD just shows where the integrity of the leadership is at. Just moving the deck chairs around, and eliminating some high class passengers will not make this company more viable, grow the stock price, or improve the morale of its employees. So disgusted how quickly Hackett and company can drive this company into the ground.
