What's actually disappointing about the article is the fact that will nothing will become of it most likely. They've had 2 hearings regarding the RR's and PSR, and zero change has taken place. Now when NS's TOP21(Their version of PSR)plan turns to sh–, changes will start. The real question to be asking is about the response time. 5 of the 6 class 1 's have implemented PSR now. Brothers and sisters, I feel your pain in this situation. Any action from this moment by any government entity will certainly be too late. It doesn't matter if the government steps in with regulations. The damage is already done. The folks that have been let go can't wait to pay their bills, just like I can't. I'm sure this has been posted already, but those of clinging to hope need to stop. Stop waiting for the fairytale ending. You need to move on with your lives, just like I did. Getting let go hurt like hell. I lost a lot of stuff, but in time the wound healed. You all need to ask yourselves 2 questions about working for the UP. What exactly are you gaining by staying employed with the UP, and what exactly is it costing you in long term. My answers were nothing except to pay my bills and the cost long term was more stress, lower quality of life, and poor health. You're better than this, and you're better than the UP. Don't let a layoff from a once great company get the best of you. You're better than that. I wish you all the best. Don't worry, Mr. Fritz will get his VERY soon.

Well said. And as a side note... U.S. presidents didn’t lay-off anyone from the UP.

Thank you for making my point. You are forced to vote for a bs two party system where they put two rich people up for vote who care nothing for you. Trump is an id–t BTW, only two real reasons to vote for him, either you are a billionaire or a racist. I never mention that Obama was any better. Sorry if I triggered you. Wake up and stop with your child like comments. Trump has done nothing but make the rich richer. Pleas stop regurgitating your Fox News and Rush Limbaugh and to call someone a Democrat is just plain ignorance whether you’re Republican or Democrat labeling yourself as such makes you ignorant. Unemployment is actually down if you look at the two statistics part time and seasonal workers are what has inflated trumps numbers to show higher employment. Real news here, the TV isn’t an information source.

And just like that its trumps fault Obama s—s or its Obama's fault trump s—s. I got layed off under Obama and now I'm layed off under trump. Everyone is greedy. I dont see anyone willing to take a pay cut to keep people working. Welcome to capitalism that's how it works.

Same soup just reheated. The distraught current or former railroad worker sees this as a sign of hope, just like they want you too see it. Make no mistake, nothing will ever come of this, and 99.8 percent of america has no interest in anything railroad related. Nothing more than a snoozefest of an article.
While im here, let me remind you how unimportant railroad workers are.

Very good reading! I just don't have any faith in government to do anything about it?

400 more locomotives are going into storage.

Nothing will come of this, our government is run by Wall Street and will continue to do so. Greed will prevail for the time being. Only when we stop being more concerned with football and anything else that divides us and stop voting for a president that is an id–t and vote for one that has our true social and economic interests of the PEOPLE and not corporations will we have any change.
