I would bet they got a proposal and are crunching numbers and not publicly commenting yet to form a strategic reply. Like anything else you don't negotiate things through a social network or the media unless you want to spin something. Usually this back fires anyway.

To those represented the Union will issue a statement when they have their house in order and have a opinion formed and counter proposal etc.

"I think there a troll thread somewhere below that CTL wouldn’t even come to the table to negotiate and now there asking for District 7 to start early. I would say there’s a reason for this. Some deal being held up til this contract is done. Obviously this is just speculation but CTL isn’t doing this out of the kindness of their hearts to make sure their employees are taken care of. Be interesting to see where this takes us."

Would make sense a lot like the Republican and Democratic Conventions a few years back during the contract where they promised things if we stayed out of sight and didn't walk out on Qwest.

Our mistake that year as a Union because we had them over a barrel, but it is what drives things like this.

Also why they moved the contract so it would not impact them during elections I think.

If your non union and I'm sure there are many here posting. It's no concern of yours. If your a member contact your unit steward. It's no ones business just those being affected. It's not a LAYOFF!!

Early Bargaining was requested by the company. The bargaining committee will be in Denver next week the 13th thru the 16th to hear the company's proposals. According to the Union this is just to hear what they have to say.
