More Cuts, Less Revenue

We lost a third of our staff in the last round of cuts a few months ago, and some of those that were on the RIF list were people who were on billable jobs. We just got handed a new list that's supposed to k–l off about half of the positions we have left. A third of the people on that list are 100% or more billable–some on massive projects with massive revenue.

If they wanted to close up our practice, they should have just had the balls to say it–or given the team the opportunity to spin it off into something else. This is what happens when you have a company that has no leaders and just financial analysts looking for EPS.

We are part of this "Digital Strategy" the company is supposedly spinning over to, and we're still getting hit. This is no strategy. It's just grinding your people to hamburger.

They plan to outsource to India and hire 3 for the price of one. Good luck getting the job done on time and the quality that will enable you to be an industry leader in any category other than epic fail.

The average age of 24 in the call centre - so they collectively know the square root of f— all !!

I listened to an all hands briefing the other week that included the manager from the Costa Rica call centre. He was praising that they had lowered their average age to 24. Now I wonder how US lawyers could use a copy of that speech in an age discrimination lawsuit. If HR saw it they would go mad.

Maybe ITAR will survive, but don't expect those customers too. In the UK they get around UK Secure problems by basically getting the customer to walk away...

Which country is the OP in? USA?

You do know that they basically will move all of USA to Costa Rica, Europe to Bulgaria and Australia to Malaysia yes?

In piecemeal.

Of course the service won't survive and neither will the customers stay, but they don't care!

Yep less cuts but more work for those left behind - doing 3 persons job spinning existing users out of the door and hiring more less cheaper workers like graduates
