Realignment announced today, back to exactly the way we were. One DM 15 store, no longer trying to play in the sand box with KMart. Well duh, two different companies!!!
What comes to mind, the definition of insanity- doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Sit back and watch the circus :)

Unless they’re planning on a massive hiring spree, OP is incorrect. They’ve been intentionally not filling market level positions when they do come open, and I seriously doubt that they can fill the ~27 DGM positions across both formats, in addition to all of the other district level staff like HR, Ops, SL, HL and so on.
Dm’s Are unnecessary. They only exist so the region mgr doesn’t have to deal with accountability.
How many times do the same leaders get to reorganize? How about some freaking accountability???

@pyn. No change for us. Our DM is still here with the same stores in his district and we're still in the same region.
War of attrition. Everything is closing. Eddie managed to kick the can down the road to buy even more time. Gonna be one of the last operating B&M retailers for stuff no one orders online. Transfer to home and life as soon as it opens in your area.

Typical reorganization. Shuffle the deck so no one goes home, but that it appears there is change happening at higher levels. All smoke and mirrors. Been like this forever.
Keep in mind, after DM’s it will then be other dist staff, followed by more store cuts.
