Heard another round of BIG layoffs were coming by end of August. Anyone else know anything or heard what areas will be affected?

Layoffs happened across the Company on Friday, Aug 2nd. Colorado/KS/TX/MN/OH/LA.
I am/was Management in IT.
Opex reduction requirements are assigned to Business groups: Product/Operations/Sales etc..to SVPs and are cascaded down.
I suspect 500+ in this round.
Expect some big announcements and changes on Monday, August 5th.

I'm in VA if that has anything to do with a hill a beans. But whatever. Where I am has nothing to do with it. I said "I HEARD" and asked if anyone knew more? All I had was a rumor through the grapevine there were going to be some layoffs. I was just asking if anyone had more info as to where these layoffs were going to be. I didnt say they were in my area. I dont know. I was only looking for information. If someone had heard the same rumor and had more Intel. Didnt mean to get your shankles up. Chill out and calm down there rowdy!
If this company lays me off I'M GOING TO BE REALLY ANGRY!!!!..... for about two minutes and then I'm going to get another job.

No. You stated that you heard this information then you asked for confirmation. If you are not willing to at least tell us what state you are in, how can we possibly help you. Don't get your panties all twisted. You seem really frustrated but we are just asking you a simple question. One you decided to attack instead of just simply answering. Think you could possibly narrow it down to a region and we can guess from there. No name calling needed. Calm down, help us out or just stay off the site. Now, what state are you in?
they already hit Florida pretty hard with layoffs, already announced Kansas City. That's been the biggest hit areas so far. Next up, moving East...possibly? Doubt much will happen in l3 areas.

Well you must be new because everyone knows that it's not if it's when, and they historically start in the South Florida area work up the coast and then across to the west coast, So South, East, Midwest, Central, South West Northwest.
They have three regions now but they are still divided internally.
Kansas comes to mind real fast unfortunately. There are a lot of good people out in that Queen Mary on the Prairie building. I highly doubt CINO ( CenturyLink In Name Only ) will allow these folks to stay until the building actually shuts down. HR is slow enough with org charts, imagine how messed up getting options and info to between 800 - 850 employees.

Yes useless information! Everyone knows that there will likely be layoffs sometime. August 7th is earnings report. The past has had a round of downsizing right after a quarterly report. I would bet something to happen again . No inside information here just paying attention to what they have been doing.
Totally useless information without the basics....Where are you? Where did you hear the layoffs were coming. What business unit? What work group in that unit?

Havent heard any specifics. Just heard they were coming. Was hoping they would offer something in my area.
Voluntary like VTO or layoffs?
Probably management this time, hear they like manager having 13 or so employees.
