Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Big push on orders

I am currently working orders for our assignment group and I, along with several more call center employees that are current team leads have been moved to push out all this mass of orders. What do you think is going on with this? Are we trying to look good because we are in bankruptcy or what? I have a feeling something is coming up and it’s not good. Any ideas on what’s going on?

All of these disconnects will be spun as product conversions. They got rid of TDM to move to ATM, then onto IP, then UcaSS and SD WAN. I know our margins are higher but we have less customers and then equals less revenue.

Problem is The Company HAS NOT been loyal to employees. And The Company has no plan to ever address employee issues and deteriorating compensation

"As a brand, we have to be loyal to our customer. As a company, we have to be loyal to our employees. You sell a good product/service, you win."

Thanks for saying this

i noticed the disconnects started to pick up in 2015. By 2018 a substantial amount of customers were gone.

Excellent job removing renewals. Lol

I seldom reply on these forums due to the toxicity that flows but I am going to just say this. I have seen so many of my customers from the two prior companies prior to Windstream just leave. Long term customers. An example of this is one that just started out with a couple of POTS lines and a DSL line. Towards the end, they had an on net fiber solution with a managed firewall and an IP Simple solution (Allworx). I have seen their product in stores outside our state when I went on vacation. They grew up with us. Two years ago they just felt we were treating them like c-ap and went elsewhere. BTW, I am in CLEC territory. Since that time I have had several large customers leave because we kept treating them poorly. Next month I am leaving the company. They always tell us in the field we are the face of Windstream but they forget that our name is tied to this horrible company. I refuse to tie my name, my honor, to this brand. Prior to starting my career in this industry I worked at another company. They were good at the time and I left because at the end of it... the customer experience was truly terrible. Their brand was garbage. Two years after I left they were in bankruptcy. After ch11 failed, they closed their doors and it was picked apart.

As a brand, we have to be loyal to our customer. As a company, we have to be loyal to our employees. You sell a good product/service, you win.

That's all I have to say about that.

You are the test for a super group that will talk to the customer, place the order & assign it like a one stop shop. If this works then they can downsize a lot of groups even more than they already are. Get ready for a sh– storm of bad records and messed up orders. This has to be someones idea of a joke because its not really going to work

Trying to meet the metrics on the KEIP/KERP plans so TT and 4 others can get their bonuses I suspect. Same thing driving the daily e-mails about our net promoter scores and MRR install to date for the month. #don'tcare

This is all smoke and mirrors. The order push is to try and fool investors into thinking we are a growing company. I’m a technician and I see it daily that orders take priority over trouble tickets. We'll do anything to get a new customer but once we get them they go to the bottom of the list.
