I'm going to give you a secret recipe for a raise. Get out and come back as a contractor.
its true, but only for consulting. thanks to martin eldracher
Last pay raise in the US for me was 2013 and that was only 1%. All other jobs I ever had I would get 10 , 15 % raises a year and bonus of 10 grand or more. My last company outsourced, so I went to a outsourcer thinking I'd be safe.
Limiting work to 50 hours or less, and each day trying to work less. Because I don't give a sh*t anymore, I could leave but over 59+ in the US and jobs are really not that easy to find.
One day closer to saying "Take this job and shove it"
Employees in Germany who lose their jobs due to reductions often receive 6 figure separation packages. I am not angry but that certainly exceeds most if not all other countries. Good for them.
just unsubstituted rumour, the situation is quite the contrary:
1/3 of employees in Germany will be axed quite soon, next big RIF is planned.
raise will be given just to very few "key players"
I work in Germany and get no pay rise and no bonus. Facts are that technical virtually don't exist in Germany we have to buy them in from Proservia as every tech person moved out of HPE into Proservia before DXC came about to protect the employees. Most people I see in Germany are sales related and NCE are winning lots of business, more than most other regions. Probably why they reward the sales guys.
I'm working in Germany and I can't even count the years I didn't get raise, or a bonus, or at least a decent Christmas party.
And I work about 50 hours a week but get paid for 40.
Merkel approved bonus so Mikey did not have a choice !
- 5% unemployment rate in the US. Why do you still work for this company?
As mentioned in a reply earlier, if you want a salary raise then change jobs. Last raise I got within a job was 2008, all since then have come through changing jobs. That's the reality of the IT marketplace these days.
I'd guess Switzerland and Austria will do too.
During the mikey csc years this was usually the case, along with bonuses.
Can you give some substance to back up that claim? I think last year it was end of August before a few people heard about receiving a small bonus.
Please link to information stating that this is correct that Germany is getting raises.
Only way to get a pay rise at DXC is to get another job with another company.
Lucky that they have strong Unions
