I mean, it's still the #1 company in the privatre sector so there must be reasons to work there. Right? Please, any of you non management still there and if you can be impartial, give me your honest feedback on this. Thanks

To answer your question NO. It's become a buddy system from high up to the bottom. It's who you know to get promoted now days and if they want to make room for their buddies your gone. It's not about your hard work ethics. Good luck
Too dangerous. I don’t recommend it.
Friends don't let friends apply at Wal-Mart.
I would say no unless u want to be at their beckoning call. They tell u to pick ur schedule but when u do they won't give you hours because it doesn't align with when walmart needs you there
No
In metro St. Louis Walmart has the $11hr now hiring. Target is hiring $13 and they seem actually happy and have a cart pusher machine whereas the Walmart you see guy pushing the carts with a rope. Of note McDonald's and the other fast food places are all short workers so it's usually about $12 -14 an hour. Plus the Amazon warehouse in the suburbs is starting @$15 he.
No!!!
Only if you want to get shot up by a disgruntled former employee 👍👍
No.
@ 1qiy, I like that, 'If you were my family I'd recommend against it..' :)
I know some people who aren't family or friends that I would recommend they DO apply lol
I don’t recommend it if you have other options. If you were my family I’d advise against it.
@ vaq, I've been using that very description for years: Walmart has become best suited for young students and retired seniors. Anyone trying to make a living? FORGET IT.
Oh: And management will abuse and torment the SH!T out of you if they know you actually need the job. They treat kids and seniors v e r y differently, because they know those groups will leave in a hurry.
Depends on why you want to work. Long term there is no way I would work there. Part time for a short time to pay off bills or as a senior citizen to supplement social security. Yep go ahead. They are are always be hiring.
It was at one time. Not now. Associates aren't treated very well and the benefits aren't what they once were.
Long time associates have been getting their jobs eliminated and other long time associates are quitting.
Hard work and loyalty to the company means absolutely nothing.
No. Use and abuse the. Cut you loose
I've worked at Walmart for 27 yes. It was a great place to work 20 yrs ago. I've seen a lot of changes happen. Most are not pro associate. If you have other options you should pursue those first. My husband worked for Target for 22 yrs and said it's better than walmart by a smidge. If you are like me, live in a small town without much to chose from, then yeah, Walmart is an ok place to work. The insurance is horrible though!! Good luck. There are some who love the company, but most......not so much.
No!
