Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Why was the comment about Sociopath Leadership removed

Why was the thread about Sociopath Windstream Leadership traits removed. The traits of a sociopaths fully match Windstream Leadership traits and specific names were not mentioned.
If Leadership disagrees they should change they behavior and not try to censor the world!!!!

Try the following:
Stop Lying

Show some compassion for those that have not had pay adjustments for SEVERAL YEARS!!

Admit your mistakes; I guarantee non non-management employee had any input into the REIT fiasco

Quit stealing from the core employee base to give bonuses to the few

If you are angry that you are being called a SOCIOPATH then quit behaving like SOCIOPATHS

401k should be fine! 100% vested, and they had to pay out cash this year. However, when you get the boot, move it that day to a Roth. Skip the unemployment office till that money is in another untouchable account.

Another copy-paste, found this on Enbridge forum board (Post ID: @WWJ1wBT-2exzn ):

I've been on the site for a while now and here is my observation on what kind of posts mods/admins delete:

  • Foul language (a big no-no)
  • Defamation
  • Racism
  • Anything that has personal info
  • Using names excluding public figures like PR, Comms, Board and C-Level)
  • Unsupported negative posts (e.g., you will all be laid off, ford engineers are not competent, etc)
  • Trolling (they axe this sometimes, I've seen some troll posts survive but they typically nix it)
  • References to violence and sgurd (read this in reverse, I don't want to be tagged as pitching it here, merely trying to avoid being blocked)

@1hcg, site admins here do screen all posts and nuke everything that’s against the site rules. If they find the user is malicious, they nuke all he’s ever written and block that IP from posting any further.
This is a copy-paste from another board:

I've been on this site since 2015 (first with Verizon and now with GM) so hear me out:

  • mods/admins exist, they are silent tho
  • they delete messages, sometimes in bulk (eg all threads or all messages you ever posted by you or someone else may be nuked)
  • they block ip addresses, some vpns will not work as they are already blocked
  • some words are blocked and trigger reviews, try to enter xes in reverse and they'll review you
  • here are things that will trigger a review, purge or block: swearing, use of names, politics, attacking other people
  • got blocked once, never heard back from them and had to switch ip
  • if someone is crossing the line you can report it on the contact page
  • dont post in weird threads, they may bulk block you (if you do, use vpn)
  • they really cannot stop you posting, use a vpn and you are ok - if you are using a vpn, dont use bing ones like nordVPN as they have them blocked - pick a smaller providedr
  • try to avoid any discussion about race or identity groups, they dont f around with that - that's like an instant ban and all your older messages get deleted

i am sure there is more stuff that i am forgetting but this is it in the nutshell...

This site doesn’t have any incentive to make Windstream look good.

They just need to avoid the costs of getting dragged into court for libeling an individual. Even if they won, the legal bills would be a problem.

They’re likely to wonder “Why risk it?”

If you say the CEO is incompetent, I doubt it’s legally actionable. If you call him a criminal, you might or might not have a problem. He’s a “public figure” so the bar for a libel suit is higher than saying something about lower level execs.

I don’t think the site admins routinely read the posts.

You could try contacting them at contact@thelayoff.com and pose the question/complaint directly.

I’m surprised they’d remove posts unless they named names or gave sufficient information to identify an individual. Even then, I think they’d leave it be unless it might be construed as libelous.

I doubt thelayoff.com has the big staff that would be required to screen all posts nor the $$ to fight any lawsuit. They’re not Facebook.

Once someone complains about libel or copyright infringements, a site owner is held legally responsible if they don’t take it down.
