Thread regarding Sears layoffs

What’s going on with my Hometown?

The only Sears I have access to is a Hometown. This in a major city no less! I’ve noticed the inventory of my Hometown dwindle and dwindle. They don’t even have Crafstmsn tractors anymore - just two Husqvarna tractors. Couldn’t find a rake or simple Phillips screwdrivers.

What’s going on? Is this a sign the store is going to close or is this systemic across Hometown stores right now?

Eddie was squeezing the hometown stores intentionally to drive the stock price down so he could do the buyout at a cheap price, once the sale is finalized they will start shipping stuff in again.

Lawn and Garden items will be in short supply. The plan is to move away from Craftsman branded items and to have all lawn and garden items eventually be Diehard branded at Sears. Soon that will apply to tools as well. The plan is to boost Diehard brand name recognition, so it can likely be sold at a later date.
