What is the standard Riverbed severance package in Europe or is it different by country? Are they obligated to provide severance option to anyone being let go or does depend on certain factors? I have little knowledge in this so apologise if asking not sensible questions.

"What do you mean minimum required by law? What state are you in? In NY the minimum is zero. "
If you're in the US, they're required to give 60 days notice or pay out for that period.
That's all they gave me, and since I'm in sales they clawed some of that back to cover some outstanding PoC gear that was left in the field. That was a nice little kick in the teeth on the way out - thank you very much! That, plus the loss I took on the stock repurchase makes this the worst deal I've ever seen - so much for the "human experience"

I’m hoping to get laid-off, but they’ll never cut a support business vertical lol

I'm in the US and had been at Riverbed a couple years. I only got the minimum required by law - 60 days.
Different by country but they will offer only the lowest amount of money they can. Go to a lawyer and protect yourself
They're cheap so it would be the bare minimum.
