Of interest to us would be the Project Management certification that is broadly applicable to many industries. The average salaries for each certification are also listed.
If I were planning to move ahead either with CTL or outside of CTL, I would first choose a career and training path, then look for certifications that are applicable to my choice. I would also contact CTL HR to see if I qualify for tuition assistance. I don't know if the old program is still in effect, but it was a tuition reimbursement program that reimbursed an employee for education and certification expenses once an employee had completed classes or certification modules.
Also, if you choose to purchase the basic Cisco CCNA course from anyone other than Cisco, make sure they have a test engine simulator so you can test your knowledge as you progress through the courses. This is always a good idea when choosing any certification course.
