The LCE contact in ABQ that I have used for the last 15 years got hit this morning. 33 years with HON. Replacement is a 2 year new grad hire. All coincidental. Suspect there is nothing to do with age or salary, from the HR shills on this site! He is destroyed. He just found out he has cancer, and now this. Way to go Honeywell !
about 100 RIFs in Western Europe as well recently. Mostly to do with customer support and customer order management. Many positions though will be moved to Poland. Guess Darius' way of giving back to his home country.. Don't think it will be that easy though to train all customers to speak Polish or English

The purge has begun to flatten the management structure of engineering and re design ISC. Several moves happened this year to indicate a layoff at mid year to enable 4th Quarter numbers. But there are those who have been preparing for this day several seasons. Now IT is using AI to watch employees and look for violations of corporate IT data security policy. Employees working remote will be denied VPN access and must return to the site for processing by HR and security. so efficient, so good at laying off people, and not keeping commitments to customers. It is no wonder Boeing is making there own avionics and APU for the next development platform. Newly acquired sites with big milestones are losing people due to the Honeywell / Allied Signal way. Who will make parts? Who knows how to fix SAP? It doesn't matter, extend payment terms to suppliers to 180 days and collecting from customers faster. If you font ship parts how can you earn your salary?

75 Total today, Managers saying more to happen Friday. The new method of RIF is when HR inactivates your badge, as was the method today. Most get stuck at the gate or lobby, and then get processed quietly as not to upset the other sheep. Movers come in to clear the office, notice all the blue shirted workers today, looks like the RIF-ed former employee is just moving locations. So efficient, any German would be proud!
